My first PS Vita game! What a different experience compared to playing on the PC or even mobile. I really like the portable handheld aspect and it’s also better than the mobile screen. The only reason I got the vita recently was to play VNs and otome games (I mean look how many are coming out this year alone!). So while it sucks that the vita is dead as a console in the West, I hope VNs won’t stop getting localized at least
(pls Aksys I really need Fatamoru’s vita version, I’ll do anything)
Anyways, Code Realize! While by no means perfect (in regards to pacing issues… I’ve fallen asleep a couple times while playing oops), it was still a really nice ride as a whole!
Given my absolute love for The House in Fata Morgana and its developer Novectacle, I decided to splurge and buy pretty much everything I can for the series. Sure, I’m broke now LOL, but honestly, this was worth every penny. How else am I going to show my appreciation for something that stole my heart so completely? Anyways, here’s a breakdown of everything below~
P.S. page 1 is spoiler free and page 2 of the post will contain some spoiler pics
Let me just start off by saying that I went into BWS with really high expectations. It is rather acclaimed in the otome fandom and I’ve heard so much praise, so I went in expecting something great. And admittedly, I was a bit disappointed OTL (so potentially unpopular opinion ahead). Well here’s my non-spoiler review:
Similar to NTY’s review, I’m bringing over a post I made on tumblr last year at the beginning of 2016 here – where I had discussed my immediate thoughts upon finishing the localized version of the otome game, Amnesia. So without further adieu, here it is (mind you, this is rather brief!):
I had played this game back in 2015, and made a mini review on my tumblr at the time here. However, this blog is looking really barren OTL, so why not transfer that review here. Besides NTY is currently on sale at Mangagamer for Valentine’s Day, so the timing is pretty appropriate anyway.
So here’s my 2015 review of NTY!
I’ve finished The House in Fata Morgana and that was most likely the BEST visual novel I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. Simply a masterpiece.
Oh man, how did this game go under my radar the way it did? When MangaGamer had announced the game, I didn’t even give it a second glance. I was so happy about their other announcements, that I didn’t even really care about this one. It didn’t look like something that would be to my tastes.
WHY ON EARTH DID I THINK THAT. Don’t let the cover art fool you, this game is A LOT more than what it appears to be. It was not at all what I expected. It’s very hard to talk about why I love this game so much without delving into spoilers, but I’ll try my best.
Red is such a cute naive guy. He is a hero who fights for justice, along with his trusty sidekicks Yellow (Yeonho) and Commander (Tei). But every hero has his problems.
Heavy Spoilers Ahead:
